Hi, basically i need software which will allow me to convert most types of file (usually avi) to avi. I have a nokia 6600 phone and need to have avi files where i can set the video size, audio settings etc so they will play on the phone. so basically i need software that re-encodes avi files to avi's with my own settings, then i can put them on my phone and play them :)

cheers for any help.

VirtualDub can encode avi's, I would use AVISynth to resize, drop frames, etc. though.

Hi, yes with smart movie application installed you can play literally any file including .avi, ive found that avi usually has the best quality and can be played full screen rather than in a window.

Also thanks to aaron and druid, checking out your suggestions now, thanks.
