Wonder if anyone can help, when I burn either a Cd or a Dvd with Nero, 8 times out 10 I get burn fail, sometimes at 100% but mainly at 80%, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, can get 2 good discs then back to fail.
Any help much appreciated.
cheers

Are you trying to burn at too fast a speed, try burning at a slower speed see if that helps (if you haven't already).

Thanks For the reply guys, & thanks for the welcome, using pioneer 108, win Me, sempro 2.5, 512 ddr, I have tried writing at 2x, 4x right up to 12x and funnily the only time it did not fail was at 12x on 8x discs, and if anyone suggests using alcohol 120 I have never tried it.

what type of cd/dvd's are you trying to burn?

data/audio etc..

or - on the fly / from HDD

also you might want to check your DMA settings in device manager, just incaseoh and have you tried alcohol 120% ;) :P

if ur using dvds on the fly it could be a bit dodgy, the read speed of the dvd rom must be double the write speed, and i wouldnt recommend using the pc while it burning, also u could try dvd decriptor for doing copy to copy of dvd's, i use nero myself and works brill, ive used alcohol aswell i think u can do a straight copy using it aswell.
