Hi, suddenly my PC no longer has a file association with .reg files.

I'm trying to run the reg file for coolbits. Nvidia graphics card overclock utility.

"This file does not have a program associated with it for perfornning this action. Create ann association in the Folder Options control panel."

I've already used this .reg file in the past. But i just installed new nvidia gfx drivers and reset this. Tryin to get it back.

Thanks in advance.

Right click on the file and choose "Open With". You will get a list of programs you have installed. Choose the one that should open it and, if you are sure you have the right program, check the box, (lower left) that says "always use the selected program to openthis type of file"

"Controler Pannel" --> "Folder Options" --> "File Types" tab --> Scroll down until you find "REG" --> Click on it -- > Click change --> Make sure "Registry Editior" Is selected. Select it if it isn't. And if it isn't in that list browse for it: C:\windows\regedit.exe

Thanks ps2wiz.
Just didn't know what program handles reg files or where it was.
Perfect.

Overclocking back in business. =)
