Which is the best, which allows full direct x controller support?
Project64 doesnt' seem too bad but i can't use my GC controller with it, as everytime i try and define a button all it does is say 'slider right'
Any better ideas?

Well that aside Project64 for me is by far the best emu for N64, don't know of any other that has a higher ROM compatability and gets the sound correct etc.
Are you using the latest version btw? There is a service pack 1 for v1.5 which you can d/l here:- http://pj64.emulation64.com/support/pj64_1_5_SP1.exe
Plus a range of plugins you can get here:- http://www.emutalk.net/downloads.php?s=&forumid=80 and there is a plugin there which allows you to use the N64 joypad too.

Cheers for a quick response
Yeah tried the latest version/service pack but that gave me the problem
Got Nemu64 which seems to work fine although the analogue stick is a little over sensitive, will check out the plugins though.
I've had good experience with sureal.
I hope you got a controller..
