About
-----
So what is the Blox system all about?
It's a methodology of installation all apps emulators dashboards are stored in game saves
I think you understand the benefits of this already.
It's a way for everyone to easily install applications and add extra functionality to their Xbox.

Benefits
--------
Well after hearing so many cries of how do I install setup etc. I stopped to think why not create a set pattern for all the people out there who don't have time to read through tonnes of readme's.
1) There gamesaves once on the Xbox you can copy them time and time again to other memory cards, yup you read correct once on one Xbox no pc is needed, simply a memory card to copy them over to the next
2) Gamesaves again all deletable from the retail console Dashboard under the memory section
3) Thanks to the app Madhouse and The Joker made the dashboards are interchangable to the point that the first one copied over to the xbox is the one that you will boot up to.
You like Avalaunch best copy that over first :)
Please always remember that you cannot play on Live without a retail disc.
Some of you have old setups where your system was installed abit strangely this (and a dashboard update for the modchip users out there should let you get back onto live! I maybe making an easy system here but we have to still support the makers, no console or no games = no fun)
This seems like a good idea for people who are looking for hassle free app installation and don't want to get their hands a bit dirty with messing around with settings etc.

you'll probably need to invest in an xbox compatible usb flash drive (8mb is ok for everything other than xbmc at the mo)- and and an xbox controller to usb adapter.

If you are happy with "out of the box" app settings (so no streaming protocol or multiple skins- unless included in the release) then you could with the right kit never have to ftp to add folders.

Personally i think customisation is more than half the fun- but others just want to turn it on and go!

I'm not sure if I understand all this. Why would you want to load apps from a memory card?

I think its for the people who want a dash and a few apps & don't really care about doing any customisation, etc.

It's only just been released today and the guys english seems a little ropey but from the little i've read and got from the "usual places" there's a vid that shows him doing the audio exploit soft mod hack with a "blox" game save, the mechassault game save and the mechassault game.

Don't get me wrong i don't think i'll be using it but it seems to be a neat solution for people who don't want to know how to get things on their machine but just want to be able to play packups have a media player that'll play avi's of a cd/dvd and have few emulators that they can run.

That's no fun :D

Its probably a little early to judge it.

Oh, so it sounds like if you do a softmod then you can load the dash and all the apps off of a memory card all at once. I guess that would be nice.
