Hi guys,

I have had a look at many of the tutorials and posts but I am either missing the point or they are overly complicated.:insane:

I basically have a 722 mb film encoded using DIVX codec - I want to burn this onto a DVD-RW however if I use DVD builder etc the file is to big for the disc.

I guess I want to burn to the dvd and compress (similar to what dvdxcopy plat does but using a file instead of a disc)

Is there a simple one/two step solution or is it more complicated?

I dont need menus or anything I just want it to play.:wavey:

Thanks for your help.

Well if you use the correct bitrate it shouldn't be too big.

For simple authoring without menu's you could try ReJig which is also capable of shrinking down VOB's/MPG's.

From what I hear cucusoft is slow and the quality not that great.

By not great I meant for the time it takes you would expect better quality and that you could get the same quality quicker using something else.

I haven't tried it myself, but DIKO (http://kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8651) is meant to be good - uses CCE for the encoding I believe.
