Anyone know where I can get TMPGEnc templates from? I’m trying to convert NTSC (23fps) to PAL, followed quite a few guides and not happy with the results, output is still ‘jerky’ are there any templates with the best settings for the above conversion?

While I’m here which programme / guide would you recommend for dealing with the audio?

Cheers

Templates won't help with the jerkyness. Not by themselves. You need to enable the don't change frame length or whatever option (basically the same as assumefps(25)), this will sort the jerky video, however now the audio and video durations don't match, which is why the template can only take you so far.

You need to then use something to change the audio length. Such as BeSweet, AVISynth, CoolEdit, WSOLA, etc. Then depending on how you did things add your new audio source to TMPGEnc with the video for encoding or encode only the video and add your already encoded audio afterwards.

TMPGEnc is a MPEG1/2 encoder not MPEG4 so I guess I'll just move this to the VCD forum.
