1.6 super aladdin live problem

Hey I just installed my super aladdin live chip on my 1.6 using this method:

and used the pin header.


Now when I turn the system on I get the green led flash like normal, liek it would open the dvd-rom, then it just flashes? No red green or anyother color just green, and the dvd-rom wont open at all either?

Thats exactly what I used. Fitted all the wires and you need to use the on/off button

Sounds likes yours is fragging so you'll have to check the link wires.... and I know this sounds stupid, but make sure you put the header in the right holes. From the link in your post, the bottom left hand picture after you have fitted the header pin you should have teh blank holes at the top. Plus when you fit the chip the longer side of the board should be towards the controller ports

mine works, but you can't disable the damn chip it just frags on a short push of the on/off button :(

you said blanks hole(s) I only have pin header missing and it is the one in the pic that I showed.. Thanks!

well seems to be I had the chip in backwards, with long end pointing other way. But now my power button is disabled. Only way I can power xbox on is by pressing eject button and power off...pull power cord. LOL, other then that it is back to reg condition, it still does not play backups though (as I have to have chip turned on in order for that though). Other then that atleast my xbox works somewhat again. I just need the power button back?!?!??!?!
