I am using the most current Azureus to DL with. It is usually fine. But more recently it has #1- crashed a few times (i would wake up in the morning and the program would no longer be running) and #2 - after it would crash, i would restart the PC and then restart Azureus.

When It is "checking" each program....the first one goes fine and starts to download.... then somewhere along the way of the next program "checking" the current DL says "Process cannot be performed because of an I/O device error(dumpblocktodisk) when processing the file "whatever the file may be".

I had this the past couple of days. Usually I just slow down and start 1 DL, then when that starts I would start the next, etc. But it just happened to me again and it is not working too well (namely Myst IV - its about 6.5GB)

any ideas how to fix this???

also, is there any better way to boost performance or reliability when DLing? it seems my DLs are fine when they are not on the same drive.....HOWEVER - 10 different HDs for each of the 10 DLs hardly seems plausible ;) -

UNLESS of course I have anyone wishing to donate drives! LOL

Try the ABC Torrent Client from here:

http://download.yacapa.com/download/1183.html

See if that has the same problems. It works well for me :)

hit ctrl, alt and del and see whats running, probably everything is fine but you never know.
when downloading large files ive always found it best to just devote all bandwidth to it.

Have you tried uninstall/reinstall of Azureus? Also as it is a Java based ap are you running the latest version of that? Are you multitasking when these problems happen? Azureus is quite resorce hungry and one reason why I don't use it anymore despite it being one of the best BT clients.

If none of the above works for you try going back to the previous stable version or as suggested above change to ABC or another client, I find Shadow's BitTornado to be the best one for my needs.
