Can't you just save it as rtf? Or do you need to convert it or something?

What it is, my m8 has written 2 books, loads of short stories and that, but being the Luddite that he is, he's done it all in LWP on a P75 from wayback - he needs (I NEED)
a quick bulk convert for the whole lot, as he's mailed the stuff off to lots of publishers
who's machines can't understand LWP - understandably in this day & age !

Guy's I'll try your suggestions - thx

If he saves them as RTF, any word processor should be able to open them, I think.

If he saves them like that, he should then have two versions of the same document, one as rich text format the other as Lotus word pro, e-mail the RTF ones.

..but..thinking about it - he's got s**t loads of files - every single one saved to floppy - he's such a technophobe he won't even save them to HD cos he can't never find them again - honest !

- and it'll be down to me (being the local "socalled" pc freak) to load em all back up in LWP on his antique and do all that save as stuff ...

..I'll do it if i have to cos he's my bessy m8, but I would much prefer some wiz
piece of code that would let me load the lot in as LWP an save it back out as
Word XP - if that's possible .....

:)

Here's a program that claims to do what you want ... (batch). There are free trials there for a lot of their programs, but none for the conversion program :saywhat:

Just a quick thought have you thought about converting them to PDF with something like acrobat distiller or even better theres a free one (with popups to their web page) called PDF995 this way as long as you can open the files on your machine you can print them to PDF
