Why do you need to join to view forum???

Sorry if this is wrong, but it looks to me like you have to register before you can even view the forum?

I only found cdrom-guide accidentally after searching on google for somthing. - this new forum would get lots of new members if it was open to viewing before registering...

:confused: You only need to register in order to post. You can still see the forums and threads without registering.

Its just the opening page:

"If this is your first time visiting DVDROM-Guide.com you will need to register in order to view our discussion forums."

Can you not just make it link directly to the list of forums?

its the same as writen on the bst front page so maby jams just copyed it and hasent had chance to change it yet

i dont think it matters if you have a front page as wouldnt threads still be indexed

and cdrg had one and it was no problem

Yeah I had just copied it from BST and must have missed that phrasing. I have updated it now so that it doesn't sound like you're forced to register, although we naturally want to push everyone to do it anyway.
