Got a strange problem with my PC, the monitor keeps changing colours flickering with mostly pinks, the pc is relativly new with a 2.6hx and 512 ram, i thought that it was my 64meg PCI graphics card playing up but took it out and still doing the same, any ideas anyone?

Have you tried swaping moniters or deguasing it?

You can find the degaus option from your moniters built in menu.

Sounds like the monitor lead is damaged.

Do the colours come back if you wiggle the lead around ?

unplug the monitor lead and see if any of the pins are loose/damaged.

Tried degausing, and the cable is fine, only happens when the PC has been on a while, lasts a couple of mins then returns to normal

Yup, large / high output speakers, mobile phones etc can all upset the monitor. Is it right next to the base unit also? Do you have any electricity pylons outside your window?

Can be lots of things, but probably your monitor is just on the blink, try another one for a few days and see if the problem is still there.
