Xbox Original ms dash problem

I bought the softmod package and got the memory card and mechassault etc.

Started on first step and put the hacked save file into xbox hd in the correct place. I added some apps and emus while I was at it.

Anyway, Next step was to copy the save from the modded xbox hdd to a memory card.

To do this I had to use ms dash. However when I pressed msdash button on evox it went to the black screen with green writing and flashing led.

I check the paths and file names in evox.ini and they were fine. Removed the files I transfered. Still same problems.

Anyway I can fix ms dash?
If I updated it with mechassault to get xbox live tab would it fix it or mess it up? Need a 100% answer to that question. Not a maybe as I can't afford a new xbox atm.

Evox dash works fine still and I can play games.

Any ideas people?

Just FTP the save directly into the memory card. It should be H: or I: . Then copy the save into the next Xbox.

So if I have mem card in the controller I can fxp the save direct to mem card?

Never knew that.

Does it have a special folder on mem card though or direct into root?

Put the folder that has the save into the root of the Memory card.It is just like putting it into your HD.
