V4 laser replacement with a 400c?

Hey everyone, i have a V4 ps2 that is my friends (or v3, but i'm pretty sure it is a v4), and the laser needs to be replaced. (i have already cleaned and adjusted the laser, but that only fixed it for a couple of days. So my question is what is the best laser to put into the ps2? Would a 400C laser be the best choice, and does anyone know where i can purchase one at, i don't want a China Clone or refurbished laser either. Thx a lot for your help.
