cannot boot pro evo 4

have pro evo 4 but cannot get to boot.

i have an older type mod chip. an executer 2.2 if my memory serves me correctly. have tried patching but with no luck.

i have the iso, so do i patch this or do i have to extract the iso, patch the .xbe then compile again. reason i say this as some prog only patch xbe's where as other will look at the iso

some games i have to patch others i dont. i normally use adr patcher as it searches the iso, but it says it cant find any media fixes to patch so must be patched, eve though its not.

any suggestions?
