Hi

Right I'm finally setting up my new laptop, have a new Laptop (Toshiba A60-692) which has an Intel Mobile Processor, the manual says diddly squat about how to get it to see my connection through my router: - Origo FC-AL2011pw (model).. any ideas? I would ideally like to use this method over my plug in wireless card, which I used on my old laptop.

I serioulsy need some pointers on this and am willing to reward a gallant hero

If you're setting it up new and putting XP on it you could put service pack 2 on it and use the wireless network setup wizard. The centrino laptops I have seen it is usually just a matter of turning the wireless connection on and letting it detect the connection. you say you have an intel mobile processor you don't mention wireless are you sure it contains built in wireless as it would be unusual for Toshiba to sell you a laptop with wireless and not include at least some documentation

I'm going to move this to the Networking forum.

most laptops shipping with intel "mobil" cpu's doen't have built in wireless, it's the intel centrino's that have built in wireless. I could be wrong, but I'd check with toshiba to make sure its there first.
