Problem installing my HP932c Printer. Need Help?

I have a HP Desckjet 932c which I had installed before on my dell pc. I recently reformatted my HD and did a clean installation of WinMe, No when I try to unstall my printer using HP way of installing it using a usb cable, it freezes as the driver is being installed. Even when i disable my Mcafee ANtivir. Can some one help me. Thanks

Try using the install disk first then plug the printer in afterwards. If that dont work, its possible a windows install was corrupted, but I would trash ME and get XP. ME is the buggiest and worst OS ever made, hell win 3.1 is better.

This is and will be a tricky one, I have installed many HP USB printers and seen this happend so many times, when the first installation goes wrong, removing any HP crap left over is a nightmare.

I would suggest you do the following :
Unplug the printer
Remove the software from the Control Panel
Restart
Install some registry cleaner (Fix-It or System Suite)
Scan the registry for any unused/unknown items
Reinstall the printer software (Printer off)
Half way through it will ask you to plug printer in
