Theres many ways to update it. If you have evox, then transfer the new bios to the bios folder. Then use the flash bios command to flash the new bios.
You may have to check your modchip to make sure the the flash protect is disabled.

I'm not sure which version of evox started implementing bios flashing- v3935 does for sure.
slayers2.5, i don't think, has that version, but seeing as you got slayers and the bios you know where to get the latest evox.
the bios line is usually tagged out to stop n00b's accidently flashing the bios.
so open the ini file, and find the line
Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios
and remove any "#"'s that are infront of the line. Now you can see the flash option in the settings.
As smokafatty says make sure the chip is flash enabled- if you got a cheapmod you may need to open up the xbox and remove th flash protection but on the x23 pro (and maybe the lites as well?) flash enable/disable is one of the dipswitches (4 for the pro- turn it on to flash, off for flash protection)
if you are going for that large an hd , then get the 4981.67. The xbox can handle have a large f partition (which you'd use a 4981.06 bios for) but it seems to crap out at around 230gb, so best to have an f and g partition
probably a good idea to tell us what chip you got. x2 lites need 512k or 1mb bioses- and you have to have the correct dipswitch settings. x2 pros can handle 256, 512 or 1mb bioses, chepmods usually have 256k bioses.
if you try and flash a xk bank with a yk bios or vice versa you will mess up your chip
