Wondering if anyone knows if this is fixable...

Something has broken in the #2 controller port of our system. The system no longer can recognize that a controller is plugged in. There is a slight clicking sound in port 1 that is no longer present in port 2 so I'm guessing something has snapped or come loose.

Before I open it up thought I'd ask here.

If it's not fixable, can I just get one of those multi-controller adapters for port 1?

Thanks.

I'd open it up and just check if anything is'nt where its supposta be.

You can use a multitap for 2 (and 4) players through port 1 if you want.

probably the controller ribbon cable. Port 2 on mine didnt work either. Bought a PS2 controller ribbon cable off ebay for $6 and that fixed it.

There are some metal contacts that hang down at the front of the controller port. The one on the far left was bent down. Carefully bent it back up and all is well. Thanks for the input.
