hi
i live in uk and have 1mb bb connection through bt, i can download at around 120kpb's but can only upload at 30kbp's is this the max im gona get or should i be abld to upload faster

Thats your average upload speed, sound normal as most if not all UK ISP are 256 upload unless you are on SDSL.

Yeah we have a real bum deal in the UK on upload speeds, hope this get's sorted in time.
I feel sick ever since I read in the Sunday Times that even rural farms in Sweeden now have 100mb connections and are paying around £15 a month for it. :(

Here in the US Comcast only gives 30kbs up also. It really sucks!

HTHUnless your with Blueyonder, in which case they give you 768kbps d/l & 128kbps upload ..... no good at all for my ftp :(

Wow did not realise that Phil, that's really bad. :(
I take it that's the free upgraded 512mb line you have. Was it 128 u/l before the upgrade too?

Yep ... that's correct, it was like that b4 the free upgrade too.
They provide 256kbps with their 1mb (now 1,5mb) service and above only.
Time to move to Sweden me thinks ........... all those blondes too :D
