you will have to rebuild it into a dvd image with a certain ps2 cd/dvd image maker program. you will then be left with numbered files i.e. FILE.001 , FILE.002
etc. to join them to an iso click start then run and type in cmd.
now make sure your files are at correct command line and type:

copy /b FILE.001 + FILE.002 + FILE.003 FINAL.iso

the final.iso is the full image to burn

You may have extracted it twice using winrar, I've done this once before. Check that you've not extracted the iso which winrar can read.

i just got another one and its the same i must be doing something wrong you say watch not extract it twice what is happening is that when i extract all the winrar files into a folder and look in the folder when its done theres 1 winrar file so when i hold the cursor over it it says that its a .iso file and the size so i extract that to get the image but im getting alot of different named files do i not just burn that with nero as data or is that wrong its as if ive put a playstation game in my drive and dragged all the files to my desktop

Sounds like The Wizzard was correct.

It sounds as if the file associations could have got mixed up and .iso is associated with Winrar so showing the Winrar icon, what's the extension of the extracted file, sounds like it's an .iso, though to be honest I didn't think Winrar would extract an iso file, you could see if Nero or whatever burning program you use will recognise it as an image file, if so burn the image.

you guys were correct something wrong with my file association my iso`s are showing up as a winrar icon and ive been extracting again ( silly mistake)

any one know how i can get this back to normal it seems to be only downloaded material that i extract with winrar not anything i make a image of myself

Strange ..... I would have thought that if iso images are associated with Winrar it would apply to all iso files, pleased to hear you've got it sorted though, anyway right click on an iso file and from the right click menu select "open with", when the window allowing you to choose a program opens make sure the box that says "Always use this program to open these files" is ticked, select what program you want iso images associated with and that should fix it, Good luck.

It's easier to just extract your RARs once. You don't have to do it again when its an ISO. Point Nero to it & it should write it.

How did you fix it. I'm experencing the same problem as you. My iso file shows up as a rar file. I was able to burn it but wanted to know how I can get the icon to be associated with nero instead of winrar.

Have you tried the following ?
anyway right click on an iso file and from the right click menu select "open with", when the window allowing you to choose a program opens make sure the box that says "Always use this program to open these files" is ticked, select what program you want iso images associated with and that should fix it,
