That's what is called CD Text burning.

Use Nero because Nero has better CD Text option.

Go to Help menu then untick Use Nero Wizard. Nah, we don't want to use him. He's for kids. :D

Go to File and select New. The New Compilation box appears. Select Audio-CD then click on Audio tab. Now put a checkmark in the small box labeled "Write CD Text on CD". Type in the album title and artist name in the appropriate boxes. Now click on the Burn tab to select the burn speed and burn modes you want (Simulation/Write/Simulation & Write). You must select Disc At Once for write method because CD Text burning requires DAO. Enable Finalize CD also. Click the New button.

Now the Audio compilation window appears. Drag & drop all tracks you wanna burn to this window. Highlight all tracks but track 1 and put a zero (0) in the Pause box to avoid the 2sec gap b/w tracks. Right-click on each track and select Properties to enter the track title (song's name) and the name of the artist(s) who sing that song. If you compile the CD from different CDs or sources, you will want to normalize the tracks to give them equal loudness. Click on the Filters tab, put a checkmark in the Normalize box, choose Maximum for Normalize Method and choose a value b/w 95 to 98%.

Finally, click on File/Write CD. In the Write CD box, check the Audio and Burn tabs one more time to make sure everything is OK. When you're ready, click the Write button.

Note that if you want to do crossfade, you need to set the crossfade to some value b/w 3 and 5 frames. The crossfading will give you smoother transition b/w tracks and help you avoid clicks that may be heard b/w tracks.

Other questions? Post back...

One thing I forgot to mention, your burner must be CD Text capable. If your burner is a recent model, it probably is.
