Sorry to bother you all with my first post ( huzaah :P )

i was wondering if anyone knew of a reliable not to expensive mod chip installer in Glasgow / surrounding area with good credentials , i have looked about and know of 2 actual reliable places , G-force in union Street does it for £65 with an xecuter 2.3 pro and flashs with relative bios . The barra's shop does it for £50 and uses aladdins ( dunno if there clones etc )

The second alternative is me buying a xapter solderless mod, i have built my own pc's so i expect this to be a piece off pish ( allign and screw ). unfortunatly I'm not the confident type and would prefer a solder job done by an expert , The thing that scares me the most though is the flashing of bios's and installing evox etc , as my phillips is a bugger when it comes to media i believe and i don't want to kill my xbox.

also i was wondering where abouts i can obtain backups of the games i legally own as i don't have a dvd burner atm , i will back them up to hard drive but you never know when a hdd can go wrong :)

So should i install a xapter with an xecuter 2.6 or splash out and let the professionals do it , ohh And hello

If you dont mind paying for the no solder adaptor you can try doing it yourself it should work fine if you have any problems you can pay someone to solder it in later.

Its pretty easy to use the no solder adaptor or to solder it (you might want to us a rubber eraser to scrape the d0 point to make a good connection)
