Network (via router) help!

Got a router (netgear RP614 v2) and set up the Cable – PC – Xbox. The router will only recognise the Xbox if the IP is not static. I’ve set up everything correctly in FlashFXP but can not get it to connect to the Xbox, can any help me? The IP address (according to the router is (xbox) 192.168.1.2 this is the IP address entered in FlashFXP)

Update,

I can now acces the web through my Xbox (well can view the weather in London Amsterdam and Ottawa - vie Evox) I can view my PC in the worgroup folder, but access is denied when I click on my PC name – can't connect vie FlashFXP yet? I’m getting closer but still not there!

Can now access my PC hard drives from the Xbox (I hadn’t set up file sharing) still can’t access my Xbox from my PC though?
