View Full Version : Min spec for DVDshrink ?
M8 wants to rebuild and old PC to use for burning the occasional disk.
Spec would be PIII 450MHz / 256MB ram.
Is this way to low to successfully run progs like DVDshrink - or is it worth a try ?

well as long as that's all it will be used for and probably only doing one thing at a time - i.e. not encoding burning and authoring, then I would say it should be fine, slow, but fine.

Yes it should run fine, just make sure things like A/V or firewall software etc are not running in the background.
As T said it will be slow but if that's not a problem fine.
Speed is not a problem, more concerned whether quality of copy would be OK with 450Mhz CPU.
Thanks for replys - will give it a shot.
