I got a viewsonic model, whih reccomend because it has more features than the others.

You plug your monitor to the box, then run a vga cable(your going to have purchase one)
from the box to the computer, plug your connections into the box and then turn it on and switch the video output the component is on. It's kindof like hooking up your cable box to your tv.
