can't download with bit torrent, maybe new router/modem

Hi guys, I have a new Belkin ADSL modem/wireless router and I need help setting it up to be able to download with bit torrent and also an FTP site that uses port 55000. Any idea's?

I presume i change something in Aplication Gateways or Virtual servers but I need to know about UDC or TCP, Public Ports and LAN ports and trigger ports along with trigger types (TCP or UDC) and public types (TCP or UDC)


ANY help would be appreciated, I don't have a clue

THIS (http://www.portforward.com/belkin/f5d7630-portforwarding.htm) explains it much better than I can. Also bittorrent uses ports in the range of 6881-6889 in case you didn't already know. You need to use the TCP protocol for both applications. If you need any more help, please post back. I'm going to move this to the Networking forum now.
