Hi there,

Im asking this question on behalf of a friend.

The computer is a Packard Bell. When you press F8 Windows XP Home does not provide a Safe Mode option? It asks if you would like to boot from IDE, CD-Rom, or Floppy.

Is there another way of entering safe mode?

Much appreciated,

Instead of F8, try using F5 when the computer is booting up.

F8 -> BootDevice Menu -> Select 'HDD' -> Press Enter -> F8 (again) is another way. F5 is much better than this! ;)

If he bought a Packard Bell, it prob came from PissyWorld, in which case he deserves everything he gets..... tell him to dump it and get a "real" PC :D j/k
