Noticed it in the profiles. Just curious what it was.
Also I could never figure out what the buddy lists were for.

Well I would guess that group memberships the same as user groups, although I could be wrong. They are settings profiles which can be set for groups of users. The admin can then add users to those groups the quickly change their settings/permission. For example on one forum I'm admin for, the admin itself is a user group, and the group has permission to edit posts, move posts, etc. Altough the forum I'm on doesn't use the same message board software as this forum.

a-rouse is absolutely correct on this one. But only the admins/Moderators on here can edit members usergroups.
Yes and Buddy Lists are mostly used for Private Messaging, which we've never allowed for members as you know. I think it also affects the display of the Who's Online for you peep.... not sure bout that though.
