Hi Guys,

I am using dvd shrink in re author mode to rip films and shrink them to arround 2 gig.
The idea being to produce a multi.
I have 2 films now on my hdd both arround 2 gig i am using tmpg dvd author but when i add the 2 films in it adds them fine but the menu only shows the first then chapters. If i use dvd movie factory it asks me to select what i wish to capture ???
There must be an easy way but as usual i'm going about it arse backwards.

Any help on getting two 2 gig films with a simple menu with these tools would be greatful

thanx in advance

In TMPGEnc after adding the first make sure that you add a new track for the second.

M8, all u have to do, is use a prog called

SVCD2DVD Its by far the best and easiest bit of software out, don't bother with TMPGEnc, takes to long,

svcd2dvd takes 40 mins to convert bin-dvd with menu's, chapters etc, also it can handle, mpegs/vobs etc

hope this helps :)

Its so easy to do multi's etc:wavey:

Would you believe http://www.svcd2dvd.com/ ?

I heard svcd2dvd only take vcd contents and add them to dvd, it does not touch the files, therefore your video quality is still poor. On TMPGEnc user can set their own bitrate, that's why it takes longer in the process.

If it doesn't touch the files, then the quality will be the best it could possibly be. Re-encoding will not give you any increase in quality, in fact it will do the exact opposite.

True enough but the results should be more compliant. SVCD res is not actually part of DVD specs.

SVCDs? I was under the impression the files mentioned were DVD spec, taken from DVD-Shrink.

I would use ULead Movie Factory 2 in this case. It's commercial but comes with some DVD writers, and with this software you can create menus, add the files and seamlessly burn the movies to DVDR. Works very well.

I was refering to all the talk about SVCD2DVD.

As I said way back at the start I am pretty sure that all they need to do is in TMPGEnc start a new title for the second film. Then the menu will show both.

Ulead is a nice program for making multis with a menu, very straightforward, and easy to use.. Not the most configurable, but works well and looks nice

thanx in advance If you have Nero 6, try Nero Vision Express, it will do what you want.
