Strange Internet Explorer problem!!??

hi, ive got a wierd problem with my internet explorer?

everytime i click a link it will open in a new window, and the orignal window will completely disappear. i cant use the "back" button as i am now in a new window and the button isnt active?

anyone come across this before? what shal i do?

The ultimate solution to your problem: get rid of Internet Explorer as soon as you can, it's rubbish.
Get yourself a copy of Mozilla Firefox (www.mozilla.org (http://www.mozilla.org)) and save yourself the trouble of constantly being terrorized with popups and virusses.

Sounds like an adware problem or maybe a virus or trojan, cant think of any IE settings to make it do that just run the nesacery scans and see if anything is found.

Using any Anti pop-up system/ toolbar, mate?

You would like to try repairing IE through Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs. If it is not listed over there then install the update (SP) for your version of IE. HTH!

i'm using the google toolbar with the pop up blocker on?

You have the probable answer in your Q m8. Try disabling googyT and see the effect yourself. ;)
