Saving windows updates before doing reinstall

:bawling: Hi Guys I am contemplating doing a complete re install of windows xp professional is there anyway I can save the windows updates ie transfer them to disc or save them on another hard drive so that I dont have to spend ages pdownloading them all over again ??? :clown: Life Is Like a bowl Of Cherries Depending On wether Your the Bowl Or the cherries

Did you get them from Automatic Update? If so then the installer deletes them before it finishes, you might want to have a look if the "File and settings transfer wizard" and see if that takes them across (I've never used it though so I can't say for sure)
