Messiah 2 Wont boot anything?

Hi have a friends PS2 (new Black one with infered bit on front)

It has a Messiah 2 fitted.

Its been working fine until 1 day he brought it round and now it wont work? I think it has got throun around abit in the car.

We have taken it apart to see if the wires have come loose but all ok.

I know it works as it has the same loading, button pressing items as normal just wont ready any thing, not even PSX1 games.

Any ideas would be great.

Sounds like the dreaded V9/10 laser/LA chip problem. Were you using cheap/generic media (anything not Ritek or Verbatim) or dirty or scracthed media? That is what seems to cause this problem.
