Where Did I Go?

Hi all,
I recently bought a Pioneer 107. I fitted it, and installed the the software provided; "Nero" and "InCD".
Now, I brought some blank "DVD-R's" and some "DVD+RW's". As of yet I haven't tried using the "DVD-R's", as I am having trouble using the re-writables.
I have used Nero for years, in the past, for normal CD burning.
So, I've setup what I'd like to burn using Nero, and select the "Burn Compilation" setting. I've got about 1.25gb of data to burn in this compilation.
However, everytime I try to burn, I get an error stating that there isn't enough room on the disk, and its not blank.
Anyway, I've tried Erasing the Disk using Nero, and I've done a format with InCD, but I am stuck. I've done all this on numberous disks, and can only assume I'm doing something wrong.
I would appreciate any assistance in this.
Thanks in advance.

Which version of Nero is it? What type of DVD+RWs are you using?

Hi matey, thanks for your reply.
I'm using Nero 6, which came with the drive.
The DVD+RW's are Bulkpaq 4x speed 4.7 gb disks.
Hope someone can help.

First off ... go to Nero's website and download the latest version, as early versions had a few bugs.
Then I'd suggest losing the Bulkcrap disks .... they are pretty cheap 'n nasty. Try a good quality DVDRW. Have a look on SVP's site http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/
What DVD-R's have you got there ? .... depending on what brand/dye they are .... it would be a good idea to try one of these, to find out if the Burner is working.
The one difference between CD burning and DVD burning is MEDIA is critical. Most CDR's will work fine ... even the chepest of cheapies, but this is NOT SO with DVDR's.
Most folk with Pioneer drives (myself included) will recommend Ritek dye disks (it's the dye that counts).
Be a devil and try out a DVDR ... they're pretty cheap nowdays, if you shop in the right places.

As Phil says really, I'm finding that latest version of Nero 6 (6.3.17) is very stable indeed and I've even dare I say it stopped using Stomp RNM in favour of it.
Best discs I've used for a long while are the Ridisc G04's and as they are less than 30p each these days there really is no excuse to spend less. :D Although having said that I think SVP are still doing the Ridisc G03 2X DVD-R's which worked out @ less than 24p each IIRC. As long as you don't mind burning at 2X they are a great bargain.

I have managed to burn on-the fly with 6.3.1.17, which I wasn't able to do with any of the previous v.6 releases, so I agree this one does seem to have ironed out the bugs.
I'm using Ridisk G04's as well .... I guess we have something in common here .... we're both Skinflints" :D

Yup, Bulqpaq are well known to be all over the place for quality, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if you ended up with a bad batch. I know that even though the Pioneers can write to both the + and - formats, they are partial to -R/-RW. I also use the Ritek/Ridata G04 DVD-R discs. Never had a coaster that wasn't my fault. I have also used Memorex DVD-RW (Ritek RW dye) and Fujifilm DVD-RW (Mitsubishi Chemicals RW dye) and while they certainly don't work on everything, they do work pretty well in anything that can read an RW disc. As suggested above, upgrade to the latest version of Nero. Also, which brand of DVD-R discs are you currently using? I know you specified which +RW discs you were using but not DVD-R.
