On certain pages there are buttons that don't load.
I'm a Nildram adsl subscriber and can't check my mail as i need to use the controls button.
But it wont load.
Also on FHM website the games won't play as the play button won't load.
I've tried reduing my security down to LOW but still nothing.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi wilt,
Couple of things may need answering first... we need info :hdspin:
What browser are you using, what version etc?
Saying that it sounds like it may be an IE Java problem. Have a look at installing the Java Virtual Machine from Sun at http://java.com/en/index.jsp as this may solve the problem.
IE 6.0.2800.1106
Had already downloaded that and also reinstalled flashplayer and shockwave.

If You Are Running The Firewall Zone Alarm That Stops Some Icons/Buttons To Work/Load Try Disabling That [If You Have It Mind You :)]And Trying Again

Or some pop-up stoppers prevent some sites from loading as well. You'll either have to disable whatever program you're using to block pop-ups or hold the Control key then click the weblink you want.
I've recently found out (shaddup Firefox users) that if you stop using IE6/Netscape for your internet browser and download and start using Firefox/Mozilla instead, you won't have these issues.
Just stop using IE altogether is my advice (along with many others here).

Yeah, I would say its an "ad blocking" problem. When I used Norton firewall there were some sites (kent messenger freeads springs to mind strangely) where the "button to place an ad" was invisible until I switched of ad blocking.
One thing though - ABSOLUTELY DO NOT disable your firewall, even for a couple of minutes, thats courting disaster. Switch of ad blocking, yes, switch off firewall - never. Tests have been done with machines and they have found that it can take as little as 10 seconds online before your machine is attacked

And... empty your Temp internet files periodically. :)
