I use MainConcept to encode my videos but when it comes to the part where I have to crop the video it asks for the height and width, normaly I guess this but sometimes it never works. Is there any program which will tell me what the size is so I can put the right values in.?

Should be able to get it just by right clicking and selecting properties. Otherwise just try VirtualDub.
Can't see why MainConcept can't jusr read it from the input file... Just checked and yes it can. Most DivX/XviD type AVI encodes shouldn't need cropping anyway, unless you want to make them say fullscreen when your source is widescreen.
