Hey chaps I'm trying to convert a batch of mpeg2 (svcd) (original source hdtv) files to ogm, converting the mpa to ogg (128kb/s vbr) and video via xvid (1.01).

anyway i used DGindex (and the DGdec.dll plug in) to create a .d2v project and a Lancos4resize filter in avisynth to crop and resize the (letterboxed) res from 480x576 to 624x352.

The colour in the mpeg2 source seems a bit washed out, is there anything i can do with avisynth to rectify this?

doing the encoding at the moment without any colour alteration but i guess its gonna come out washed out too, but would like to know if it is possible to bring the video "back to life" ;)

Thanks in advance

Probably tweak with a Sat value greater than 1. I guess just have a play around.

Thanks man, do you you know the avisynth filter that deals with this?

I found HSIAJUST, but thats been removed as of 2.53, and i'm running 2.55

*edit* d'oh, i see what you mean the filter TWEAK, sorry

oh yeah one other (unrelated) thing celtic_druid, do you know of an app such as gpsot that'd work with an ogm to extract the audio and video and codec info?

OGMInfo, it is commandline based though and you might have a problem downloading it as it was hosted on corecodec who have recently been having some server problems. I could upload it if you like though?

Also http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/

First screenshot show the kind of thing you can expect for an ogm.
