Upgradidng my Hard drive question?

I have just purchased a 160GB hard drive to replace the 80GB drive that is currently in my computer. What is the easiest way to transfer all my files between the two. I am fairly sure that I can install both drives at the same time. Can I just copy the entire contents of the 80GB to the 160GB and not have to reinstall all of my software (windows etc.)? Thanks for the help.

if you want to do the whole lot, i.e. windows, apps and data, then use Norton Ghost to create an image.
