Pioneer 107 Firmware

I have a pioneer 107 running the cracked firmware was wondering if it was possible to upgrade this with the latest version on the pioneer wesite i have tried to do so and got an error (not got it to hand at work now)

Has anyone else tried to upgrade the firmware on the drive with the cracked one on already and had any problems ???

The error message it gives me when i try to upgrade is the firmware is not correct and not supported

dont know if its actually possible to be done.

downgrade the current firmaware (check site u got it from) - then re-flash it with new firmware?
