hi all,

after getting dsl broadband.some sites i cant access.or
the user name and password dont work.i got adsl in work
which is ok on these sites.i kind of guess it could be my
modem settings.theres no firewall in the modem at the
moment.

It would help to know what modem you have and which provider you use (ISP)
Have you tried a different browser, such as firefox or opera? It could be a problem with IE

Oh and running broadband without a firewall... I'm afraid your just asking for all sorts of trouble.

its an irish crowd.called eircom.we use the same in work.
the modem is a cayman 3341.i have the firewall on the
pc ok and zone alarm.but you have to buy the firewall
for the modem.i can get into the modem settings from
the pc.but dont have a clue.what im looking for.maybe
i ring their tech service.

sounds like your browser settings need changing,theres no forced parental control running is there.

tried 2 different browsers.in their default settings.
no joy.say its settings in the modem.works ok using
my 56k modem and the same browsers.
