View Full Version : windows xp : keyboard is set to us standard, how do i change it to uk?

i have tried the regional and language option in control panel, i set them all to UK, but it hasnt changed my keyboard when i restarted, its still in the american format. can anyone help

Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages tab > Details button > Change the default input language to English UK in the drop down box (Assuming you have it installed as a language), then apply the settings which should make UK appear in bold under the Installed services section. Then select and remove the US language service, and that should do it.

(Of course I'm working on the assumption you missed that one and changed the other three options)

Also have you tried Control Panel / keyboard / Input Locales.
