messiah 2 pro v2.0 dvd and ps1 skipping problem

Installed messiah 2 pro v2.0 in to a version 7 ps2 with no problem however when putting the messiah in ps1/dvd mode I get skipping on the game and dvd when a turn the chip of the dvd plays fine and when I disconnect the scex wire and put the messiah in ps1/dvd mode the dvd plays without any skipping

Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated

Put the wire to SCEX on the resistor as indicated exactly in the diagrams. Don't put it on the outside of the cap or resistor.
