neo 2.2 in my v5 ps2 wont boot? anyone help?

got a strange problem with fitting a neo 2.2

i fitted the neo 2.2 in my v5 ps2,
then i reassembled then tryed it,

the ps2 would not boot origanal games and would not boot dvds?
i double checked the points and they were ok,

points, 1,4,6,7,8, seemed ok, was told points 2,3 5 were not needed

i even tryed another ne0 2.2 chip and cap but the same thing happened??

i removed the chip and now it works ok??

anyone help? i dont know what im doing wrong??

the ps2 is a 30003 r if that helps.
