ie host keeps trying to connect throgh my firewall. wondered if anyone knew if this posses a threat to me.
ive ran all my spyware/antivirus soft and it picked nothing up:sick:

what firewall are you using?
does it actually say "IE host", long time since I used a software firewall but never remember that coming up.
as to whether it matters, the best policy is to say no and see if anything you use doesn't work, then go from there.

zone alarm mate. the thing is ive never seen it ask b4 and when i say no everything seems to work! cant quite work out whats going on here

Does it say "IE host" or "Generic Host Process"? What operating system are you running? You should also be able to look at your Zone Alarm Alerts and see the description of the destination IP address and the port it's trying to use. This can help us figure out if it is indeed something to worry about. However I highly doubt that it is anything to worry about, it is probably just a service trying to run.
