It certainly sounds like you would have to resort to some partitioning software, although unfortunately Partition Magic isn't free, and I definitely wouldn't want to tell you where to get it free, even if I knew, as the rules prohibit that.

Do a search on Google for free partitioning software or reinstall windows and partition through the XP install option.

Hi sandy and welcome to the forum. Take some time out to read the rules here: http://www.dvdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29

Most notably:

These are The Rules until further notice and will be strictly enforced. Break these rules and you will most likely BE BANNED! Warnings will not always be issued.

The Following Are Absolutely Prohibited:

The Trading of Commercial PC Applications.
Links to ANY websites containing: Copied PC applications, Serial's, Warez or Crackz to software applications, commercial or otherwise, and forums of a similar nature to this.
As advised by TierraDelFuego (http://www.dvdrom-guide.com/forums/member.php?u=214) vbmenu_register("postmenu_20963", true); you should search google for partitioning tools as there are many freebie ones out there.

Enjoy your stay. :)
