Just got a Liteon ldw 851s, i got a few problems help?

not im not sure if the drive is nakered

cd to cd copied work fine

hdd to cd come up this this error

1st: scsi command aborted
2nd: could not write end track

p.s they were done with nero 6

any idea's

only think i can think of is the way its connected

its on the same ide cable as the a normal dvd drive

any help much appreciated

Could be that if you are doing disc2disc.

More info needed really.

i.e. :- What are your system specs? Is the DVDRW drive set as "Master" on the IDE channel? What speed are you trying to burn at? What model of DVD-Rom drive are you using? What make/dye of DVDR are you trying to burn?

Easiest and best way to make a copy is by using DVD Decrypter in .iso mode. First read disc to your HD and then burn it back using .iso write mode. Perfect copies every time.

i have not tryied a dvd yet, im just doing cdrs, tryied various disks, memorex and riteks at various speeds, tryed to use winxp to to copy simple data to a blank disk, it wont do that either

model is a Liteon ldw 851s

Doh! Ignore the above then, sorry too early in morning and did not read "CD".

1) Disable imapi burning in WinXP.

2) Install force ASPI layer. http://aspi.radified.com/

Does that solve it?

sorted it not thanks, put it on another ide channel it was conflicting with my other dvd drive.
