Hi guys, wanting to get one of these as I'm a nightmare with a solder iron and am not overly keen on sending my Xbox away to get someone else to put a solder chip in for me.....

Will I need any additional equipment to install this chip e.g special screwdrivers for opening the Xbox up etc? or will everything I need be supplied with the chip?

Also wheres the best/cheapest place to get these from?

cheers!!!!

no you'll need to torx (6 pointed star shaped) screwdrivers to open the xbox up:
T20 for the external case screws and T10 for the internal screws plus obviously have a small philips and flathead to hand too.

try electrical and car stores they're not always there in diy type stores- dunno if you're in the uk but halfords sell both- usually 10's easy to come by in one of those multi head screwdriver thingy's but 20 usuallisn't provided.

if you're lucky an allan key may do the trick but i'd get the torx screwdrivers to be on the safe side
