Bulqpaq in general are not recommended because they are VERY inconsistant with thier quality. You might get a good batch and then have discs that won't work at all. It is also not uncommon for people to not be able to burn Bulqpaq DVD-R beyond 3.5-4GB. I do not recommend using them at all (regaurdless of color).

Wind back a minute.

Red Bulkpaqs? I haven't seen such a beast.

Orange Bulkpaqs, yes. And red Datawrites (which are from the same company).

Neither are particularly well recommended. To be fair the red Datawrite discs I've used have not been any trouble, but it seems others don't like them.

Orange Bulkpaq discs are Princo, as are the yellow Datawrite discs. I really can't recommend Princo because while one spindle can be pretty good, the next one along can be much, much worse. I've never had a coaster as such with Princo media, but I've had quite a number which won't work on crappy DVD players.

Personally though I tend to avoid anything by e-net Distribution these days as they employ some questionable practices such as mixing in reject discs with better media and so on. Certainly very little of their media is "Grade A", despite everything they say. e-net brands include White Label, Bulkpaq, Datasafe, Datawrite, One, Choice and most of the Ritek overprints (mainly the orange ones that say "Grade A Media") which are certainly low-grade discs disguised.

Unbranded Ritek/Ridata, Traxdata and Taiyo Yuden. The first 3 are all Ritek straight from the factory. Taiyo Yuden is spendy but IMHO it is the best of the best in terms of media.
