how to join 2 mpegs files

i have 2 mpeg files an i whan to join them to make 1 mpeg file, the file is a movie split into 2 files, i try to use M$ movie maker but it keeps frezzing on me, can u guys help me.

tmpg's merge/split functin will do it. if however these are to be converted/authored for adding to a dvd, then you can merge them in the authoring program.
