silver ps2 and dvdr movies?

i had this chipped at crimbo with the matrix 2 i think, just went to watch a dvdr on it for the first time and cant, i tried tapping the reset 2wice as stated on another post but no joy.

i heard about a 'trick' with the eject button????

put the machine into standby.power back on holding reset for about 5 seconds.if it dosent work with reset try eject button.v9 ps2 uses eject.
